Dee has been in the entertainment industry most of her life, training in ballet, tap and modern jazz from a very young age. Her young theatre credits included Bonnie in Anything Goes, Sally Bowles in cabaret and Nellie Forbush in South Pacific at the Royal Shakespeare theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. She taught dance for 10 years before following her dream to work at sea and became professional dancer on cruise ships from 1994. She then progressed to Cruise administrator and Cruise Manager for various cruise lines from 1997 until 2002, during which time she also set up her own production company, creating, producing and choreographing shows for cruiseships, until she joined P&O Cruises in 2002.
Dee started first as Entertainment Officer, then Assistant Cruise Director and finally Deputy Cruise Director, meeting and then working alongside her Cruise Director husband for 15 years. She left cruising in 2017 after 23 years and now enjoys a quieter pace of life in the Cotswolds. Dee joined ZTI last year and is delighted to be back in the cruise industry, working shoreside, even though part of her heart will always be at sea.
