She spent her childhood performing in local competitions, school talent shows and in church. As a teenager, she auditioned and was accepted into the prestigious LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and The Performing Arts better known as “The Fame School”. She then went on to major in Jazz Studies at the illustrious Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Tenna’s voice can be heard on a variety of national commercial jingles and her original music has been licensed with MTV and Oxygen Networks. As a songwriter, she has written for major label recording artists in Europe and has worked with Grammy award winning producers in The United States. 

Tenna feels extremely blessed to be able to travel regionally doing musical theater (Cinderella: Cinderella, Nettie: The Color Purple, Chiffon: Little Shop of Horrors) and travel globally performing as a guest entertainer.

Her sultry and emotional vocals are what set her apart and leave her audiences in awe of her gift. She brings an honesty to the stage reminiscent of songstresses of the past. Tenna is the real deal. Truly the full package.
