In 2001, Michelle won the first ever Trevor Nelson BBC Urban Music award. This led to a UK tour as a support artiste to Craig David. This also led to Michelle being spotted by Chris De Burgh who invited Michelle to open up his show at The Anglican cathedral in Liverpool. Michelle was also requested to perform as a support artiste on Errol Brown`s UK tour (lead singer with Hot Chocolate).

Michelle has a wealth of experience and is the consummate professional artiste having recorded with leading producers, toured theatres, appeared in pop videos and performed as an original artiste on music programmes on TV. Michelle has also helped to raise £87,000 for cancer research UK for the recording of the Apart song. She also currently has songs out in the UK Soul Charts.
